VERO WATER REFINES HYDRATION WITH ECO-FRIENDLY LUXURY WATER

VERO WATER REFINES HYDRATION WITH ECO-FRIENDLY LUXURY WATER

Bottling system improves water quality, sustainability for leading restaurants and hotels

Miami, FL  – Vero Water, a Miami-based pure water resource corporation owned by entrepreneur and CEO Joshua Kunis, announces the national launch of its exclusive seven-step water refining system designed to offer high-end restaurants and hotels eco-friendly, ultra-purified and made-to-order still and sparkling water with zero carbon footprint.

As green initiatives continue to gain traction in the hospitality industry, many restaurateurs and hoteliers are having to make compromises on luxuries to help build an environmentally friendly brand. One of these concessions includes making a change from offering patrons premium bottled water to filtered tap water. This method reduces the amount of energy used to create a bottle of water and ship it from Europe to the United States, resulting in little to no carbon footprint, reduction of waste, boosting the restaurant’s environmental credibility and saving costs. However, if using inadequate filtration systems, the essential health benefits of pure water are completely nonexistent and sometimes reversed. Some filtration systems actually increase the amount of lead in water, which can not only negatively affect almost every system in the body, but also has the most effects on infants and children.

Vero Water offers both the purest water available by scientific standards and a system that creates the water on-site with zero carbon footprint. The system utilizes an innovative, seven-step reverse osmosis water purification technique to produce laboratory-grade still and sparkling water for high-end restaurants and hotels within seconds. Vero Water’s intricate purifying approach protects consumers from the harmful effects of lead, heavy metals, chlorine, chemical contaminants, pesticides, pathogens, bacteria, virus and even radioactive materials to reveal odorless water that is significantly purer and fresher than premium bottled waters. The water is passed through an absolute sediment filter to remove all present dissolved solids followed by two granular activated carbon filters – the highest-rated and most powerful absorbent of impurities. A semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane then strains and rejects any contaminants that are too large to pass through the membrane’s microscopic pores. The water is passed through a final coconut shell post-carbon filter that polishes the water by removing any unpleasant tastes or odors before being received from the ambient, rapid chiller and carbon dioxide filtering canisters.

Vero Water also allows clients to go green for less green by eliminating the cost of goods for bottled still and sparking water. The systems are paired with Italian-designed, re-usable glass bottles - which can also be branded by the individual businesses - to encourage ecological initiatives and avoid the overwhelming waste of plastic bottles.
“Restaurants no longer have to make a choice between going green and serving premium still and sparkling water,” says founder Joshua Kunis. “We use the most advanced technology to produce, by objective scientific standards, the purest possible water. While older systems provide the same function of a Brita of simply filtering water, we capture the contaminants in the water and drain it completely to reveal absolutely pure water. In Italian, vero means “true” and “authentic,” which is what we deliver to our clients: true, authentic pure water.”

Vero Water uses the most advanced technology in creating the freshest, ultra-pure luxury water available to restaurants and hotels with zero carbon footprint. All system parts are made in the USA, resulting in a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to bottled water. Vero Water can be tasted in high-end restaurants and hotels nationwide including Sra. Martinez, Shula's, Fratelli Lyon, OLA, D Rodriguez, Matteo’s, Prime Grill, Brasserie Mason, La Gorge Country Club, Sheraton Four Points, Holiday Inn, Roger Smith Hotel, The Tides, Pacific Palms Resort, and more. The Vero Water system is available in three sizes – small, medium and large – and is available at http://www.verowater.com/.

Water Stocks; Pall (NYSE: PLL) AriaTM Water Reclaim System for Silicon Processing Selected as Finalist for SEMICON West 2010 Sustainable Technologies Award

Water Stocks; Pall (NYSE: PLL) AriaTM Water Reclaim System for Silicon Processing Selected as Finalist for SEMICON West 2010 Sustainable Technologies Award

SEMICON West 2010

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.--(Investorideas.com water stocks blog )--Pall Corporation (NYSE: PLL), a global leader in filtration, separation and purification, today announced that its Pall Aria water reclaim system has been selected as a finalist for SEMICON West’s Sustainable Technologies Award. These fully-automated, membrane filtration systems, which typically recover over 90% of spent process water from silicon processing operations, have been installed at customer sites throughout the world. The award recognizes equipment, materials or services that contribute to sustainable improvement of the environment.

“We’re gratified to be chosen as a finalist for the Sustainable Technologies Award for our Pall Aria water reclaim systems, which help conserve water and raw materials used in silicon processing. These systems enable manufacturers to reduce their cost-of-ownership and lower their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions”

.Pall Aria systems reclaim water from silicon processing operations such as backgrinding of patterned wafers in semiconductor production and shaping of silicon ingots prior to wafering in crystalline solar cell manufacturing. Large quantities of water (up to 68 m3/h or 300 gallons per minute) are required for these sawing and grinding applications. By decreasing water consumption, these systems not only reduce wastewater discharge volumes, but lower operating costs as well.

The Pall Aria reclaim system enables solar cell wafer manufacturers to economically switch from tap water to high purity deionized (DI) water by reutilizing 90% of the water and requiring only a small make-up unit. When using DI water, sawing and grinding tools produce smoother wafer surfaces and operate more efficiently and at higher speeds. Another benefit of using low conductivity water is that silicon particles remain in suspension, minimizing settling in tanks and pipes, which can cause scaling and fouling of machine tools. As a result, cleaning chemicals and maintenance can be sharply reduced and longer equipment service life can be achieved.

A 15% or more decrease in greenhouse gas emissions and a reduction in energy costs are achievable using Pall Aria reclaim systems. Savings on utility, chemical and discharge costs, along with greater manufacturing efficiencies, typically enable a return on investment in 1-1.5 years.

“We’re gratified to be chosen as a finalist for the Sustainable Technologies Award for our Pall Aria water reclaim systems, which help conserve water and raw materials used in silicon processing. These systems enable manufacturers to reduce their cost-of-ownership and lower their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions,” said Jon Weiner, president, Pall Microelectronics.

Deepwater Rising ; Calling out to Nations to Make a Clean Start ...

Deepwater Rising ; Calling out to Nations to Make a Clean Start ...

Deepwater Rising; Original Acoustic by Taylor Van Zant about the Gulf Coast Oil Spill and cry out to nations to make a clean start ...

We can all walk on water
If the Oil gets too thick
Ain't the work of heavens
Its just an oil slick

As the water runs darker
The ocean cries out
It sends back our Karma
What's this all about?

Chorus -
Deepwater keeps rising
With a black broken heart
Calling out to Nations
To make a clean start

repeat chorus

We can all walk on water
As the tears hit our feet
As we look below us
Its our souls we meet

Tell the life we've poisoned
With toxins and oil
We'll bury your sorrow
In the deepwater soil
Chorus

Our hunger has surfaced
Like a black pile of greed
And the oceans are dying
And the hunger still feeds

Chorus

Tell the mother we're sorry
Tell her we'll make amends
Let her heal the ocean
So this killing can end

We can all walk on water
We can all walk away
We can make a clean start
We can start today

June 25, 2010 (Investorideas.com renewable energy /green newswire) - Investordeas.com, a global investor research portal covering renewable energy, the environment and water, is taking its most aggressive stand since its formation over twelve years ago. Investorideas, com founder asks investors that have been sitting on the sidelines with cash waiting for the timing to coming to come back to the market – to do it now and invest in cleantech.

A call to investors from President and founder, Dawn Van Zant

"Investorideas.com has never given specific recommendations since inception, but feels passionately that we need to invest in water and environmental technology today; not tomorrow or next week or next year.

In that light, I am offering the first one hundred investors that email us following this release a free stock directory of their choice in our cleantech group (water stocks, renewable energy, fuel cells or environment stocks).
\
I have never felt stronger about this than now, watching a part of our ocean and planet die in front of us. We all have been hit hard financially in the past two years and been consumed with surviving financially. I know first hand what that has been like. But I think we need to think past the next month and how we pay our bills to how are we going to live on this planet if we keep killing it..
When you read headlines that a man has killed himself over witnessing the devastation of the coastal waters he once worked upon; a part of all of us feels that grief.
The BP Oil Spill is the largest and most devastating environmental disaster mankind can be held accountable to. We need to stand up to that and fight it with change for the better. We can be complacent no longer. We can't wait! Invest in change; invest in technology that we can be proud of.
To quote a man who has always promoted cleantech, President Obama, "we must be bold,"
Investorideas.com was on the of the first investor sites covering investing in water and renewable energy and I would like to believe that we have a following of investors that will hear this and start making a difference tomorrow. We can all make a difference with one action at a time."
Please email us for your free stock directory atShopkins@investorideas.com subject: free cleantech stock directory and let us know which of the cleantech stock directories you would like us to send. This is one way we feel we can contribute to you taking the next step.
